Broccoli in creamy sauce – Neha Deepak Shah

Ingredients

  • Butter – 1 Tsp
  • Whole wheat flour – 1 Tbsp
  • Low fat milk – 300 ML
  • Broccoli, cut into florets – 1 Medium
  • Salt, pepper – to taste
  • Chilli flakes
  • Grated cheese – 30 G
  • Crispy garlic
  • Chilli oil

How to make

To start with, steam the broccoli florets in a preheated steamer for 5-7 mins. Remove and set aside to cool.

Now, heat butter in a pan and once it melts add the flour.

Saute on a medium low heat until the flour turns fragrant.

Then, slowly add milk and keep stirring constantly.

Once the mixture is smooth, add in cheese and all the spices and seasonings.

Mix well and keep stirring until the mixture thickens a little.

Finally add in broccoli, give a good mix and cook for another 2 mins.

Serve hot, garnish with chilli oil and crispy garlic and enjoy!!
